VolunteerMatch.org   - The go-to website for non-profits who post opportunities onlines, this site remains to be one of the most comprehensive in scope of the volunteer projects for individuals and groups.  

Serve.gov  - Powered by All For Good, this site has an easy plug and play form that will lead you to volunteer opportunities right in your backyard.   
 

Share Your Mind:  Looking to share your expertise to help others? 

Idealist.org – All things philanthropic, this site is its own city of giving online.  You can find ample information and inspiration; the site also includes several interactive discussion boards and blogs.  

BoardSource.org – The leading site for information and education on board service.  Every non-profit organization is required to be governed by a Board of Directors. If you are looking for a giving opportunity that utilizes your leadership skills, joining a Board is a great match.  
 

Share Your Money:  Looking to make a donation to help a good cause? 

Guidestar.org – A leading online library for non-profit entities, this site carries information, including financial and operational details, on any legally registered 501c organization. This site helps connect you to a cause that you can feel good about supporting monetarily, and understanding the impact it can have.

Kiva.org – The first person-to-person micro-lending website, this site makes giving away your money fun, easy and impactful no matter the amount.  With a gift as small as $25, you can support an entrepreneur all the way across the globe.

The are many other sites and resources online that can help you begin Living by Giving.  These just happen to be some of my favorites.  Ultimately, you will have to find the recipe that fits best for you with the cause that you feel most passionate about helping.  Trust me, it's out there waiting for you to join in.
